About Me

About Me

I am NtiniC, the creator and maker of Persestia. Creativity has always been a part of me. As a child, I already wrote stories. My grandmother sewed the loose pages together, and that is how my first little books were created. In my teenage years, I started keeping a diary. Even now, I still write regularly, mainly to organise my thoughts. Writing helps me create clarity. Situations often suddenly become clearer to me, and while I am writing, new insights or ideas often appear. Because of things that happened from childhood onward that I could not really explain, and also because of difficult experiences later in life, I started searching more and more for meaning and for answers to bigger questions about life.During that search, my interest in spirituality also grew.

Finding My Creativity Again

Because of everything that happened over the years, I lost a large part of my creativity. Slowly, it started to return when I began learning that I was allowed to love myself too. I started painting and taking photographs and found a way to express myself again. During my divorce, that creativity came to a stop once more, and after that it did not really return for a long time. Photography remained something I enjoyed, but mostly when I went somewhere or came across something special. Something was missing. It took me a long time to understand what.

No Longer Running Away

Now I feel at home within myself, in the place where I live and with the people around me. I no longer feel like I have to run away. And perhaps even more importantly: I no longer run away from myself. I have learned to face my own shadows. To stop pushing old memories and emotions away, and instead allow myself to feel them again. That helped me process things and eventually give them a place. I learned that forgiveness is not only about other people. Sometimes you also have to forgive yourself. I learned how important it is to love yourself and that sometimes you are allowed to put yourself first. Not because other people matter less, but because how I am doing also affects the people I love. I am allowed to take time for myself. I am allowed to be who I am. And perhaps most importantly: I am worthy. Just like every other person.

Boundaries, Calm and Space

I have also learned that constantly putting myself down does not help me. And I no longer accept it when other people try to do that for me. That brings me to something else that is important: boundaries. You are allowed to set boundaries. You are allowed to stay true to them. And other people should respect them. Slowly, that created more calm. Calm around me, but especially calm within myself. Well… for a little while anyway. 😅 Because that was exactly when my creativity came back.

Then the Ideas Started

At first, they were mostly feelings and ideas that I could not really place yet. I felt very strongly that I wanted to do something that could help other people, but I did not know how. I could barely put it into words and had no idea where it would eventually lead. But the ideas kept coming. And every time I started working on one idea, another one appeared. A story became an image. An image became music. A scene became a landscape. And slowly, everything started to connect. That is how Persestia was created. And for the first time, I felt not only creativity, but also fulfilment and direction. The purpose became clearer and clearer. Persestia will probably never be completely “finished.” The world grows with the stories, with new ideas, and maybe with me as well.

What Persestia Stands For

And actually, my own journey is exactly what Persestia stands for. Not pretending that difficult things do not exist. Not expecting yourself to always be strong. But making space for everything that is part of life: shadow and light. For me, Persestia is about getting to know yourself. About feeling what you may have pushed away for a long time. About learning to set boundaries. About letting go of what you no longer need to carry. About forgiving yourself. About rediscovering who you are. About growing without expecting yourself to become perfect. And most of all, about realising that you do not have to become who other people want you to be, but that you are allowed to be yourself — for yourself.

If Persestia makes someone pause for a moment, helps them recognise something, gives comfort, or helps them find a little strength again, then that is already enough for me. Because in the end, I hope Persestia can be one thing: a place where you can come home to yourself for a while.
